Do you want to work for a long standing and highly regarded small successful practice? This is a varied and interesting opportunity, liaising directly with clients. The role encompasses all aspects of day to day bookkeeping and administration. They also pride themselves on offering a warm welcome, a relaxed working environment with a strong staff retention rate!
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for maintaining clients records on a variety of systems, a range of duties will include accounts preparation, preparing and processing VAT returns for a portfolio of clients that include sole traders, partnerships and Limited Companies.
Other duties will include:
Inputting clients records onto accounting software
Reconciliations
Profit and loss
Balance sheet
Processing journals
Preparation and HMRC filing of VAT returns
Preparation of Personal Tax returns
Payroll duties
Managing client queries
Administration
Filing and Scanning
ABOUT YOU
Ideally, you will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
AAT L3 or IAB qualified or QBE
Have previous experience of working as a bookkeeper within a Practice environment
Good organisational skills and IT skills
Competent at using bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks, Sage or Xero
Ability to work alone and as part of a team
What’s on offer
A competitive salary – up to GBP30000 DOE + great benefits including: free parking, 20 days holiday + B/H, pension.
Full time hours – Monday to Friday (100% site based)
