IT Helpdesk Engineer

Our client, a very successful market leader based in Taunton have a fantastic opportunity and are currently looking to recruit a full time 1st line Support Helpdesk Engineer to join their team based in Taunton, Somerset

The role:

To provide first point of call support for all Information Technology and Telecoms request for service. To provide immediate remedial action where possible. To act as liaison between support requestor and more experienced IT support team members when issues cannot be immediately resolved.

• To provide excellent support, responding to the helpdesk, phone, and email, logging jobs onto the Helpdesk System, resolving where possible or referring to an appropriate team member if necessary
• Prioritising and managing many open issues at one time
• Responding to and completing helpdesk requests whilst meeting deadlines defined by the Service Level Agreement
• Checking in IT equipment orders and organising returns when necessary
• Setting up new users, accounts and profiles and dealing with password related issues
• PC and laptop maintenance and general housekeeping tasks
• Supporting the roll-out of new software applications
• Installing and configuring new and existing computer hardware, operating systems, and applications
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware and software faults, as well as basic network related problems

About you:

The ideal candidate will have previous IT helpdesk experience, a passion for problem solving and hold a full driving license. My client will offer you the chance to develop and evolve your career, no matter which route you want to take.
