Our client is the UKs leading provider of distribution services, by providing their service to the NHS, Local Government, and a wide range of Commercial organisations, they make a real difference to patients, citizens and businesses through their advanced use of communication technology.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join an innovative testing team in a rapidly growing company.

The Role

As part of the Testing team, you will be involved in all aspects of testing their bespoke desktop and web applications to move them to full release status. The role largely involves understanding and assuring the end-to-end customer experience for their products are of high quality.

This role requires both manual and automated testing; our client is early into their automated testing journey which the whole testing team are actively involved in shaping the future of.

Duties;

  • Track and assess all change forms for their software
  • Plan and write effective and efficient test plans
  • Execute and perform manual and automated testing
  • Analyse and quality check all testing results
  • Detect and report application failures clearly and concisely
  • Provide accurate reporting of project timelines and progress
  • Maintain project planning, tracking, and testing material to ensure it is always fit for purpose
  • Plan, write and deliver application updates to their customers
  • Write and send customer update communications
  • Deliver training presentations when required
  • Always strive to innovate their software, testing methods and procedures
  • Provide technical advice and support to their customers whatever their needs

Desirable Experience

  • At least 2 years commercial experience in a testing team
  • STQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or equivalent
  • Experience or awareness of Agile software development
  • Test automation experience with tools such as Ranorex and/or Playwright Typescript
  • An enthusiasm for learning new software, functionality, and testing methods

What’s on offer
40 hours p.w., after the probation period you will be able to work a few days at home and 3 days in the office
