Operations Manager

This family run business, who has over 100 years of history in the local community, are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join their small team. They have built excellent relationships with suppliers and customers, taking great pleasure in supporting local farmers and markets.

The Role
Is to provide strategic and operational management to all of the supporting business functions.

Key Tasks

• Ensuring that the business is meeting financial and operational targets
• Identifying and implementing strategies to enhance their service proposition
• Assume direct management responsibility, on a day-to-day basis, for staff in all relevant areas.
• financial reporting
• Responsibility for all staff performance
• Routinely ensure that the core business activities are being completed within agreed financial, time and quality parameters.
• Review areas to ensure that plant, equipment, processes and procedures deliver are efficient and cost effective

About you

• An experienced Operational/General Manager with a food manufacturing / processing industry background
• Demonstrable experience within a regulated and sales led environment.
• Keen commercial & financial awareness
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• A change manager with track record of improving quality, efficiency and overall profitability

12 month contract, site based
Our client will also consider potential applicants who also wish to work part time hours (25/30 hours +)
