Job Title: Finance Assistant, Taunton
Join our client, a leader in their industry, as we seek a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support their finance department in managing transactions and assisting with a new accounting software rollout.
The Role:
Your main responsibilities will include recording and reconciling financial transactions such as premiums, claims, commissions, and supplier payments, as well as contributing to the preparation of monthly and annual statutory accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with team members to achieve financial targets.
– Stay updated on IT packages (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel).
– Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
– Analyse and resolve daily finance issues.
– Prepare monthly Management Accounts for a subsidiary.
– Conduct commission process testing and presentations.
– Mentor new team members and assist with their training.
– Participate in project work as needed.
Qualifications:
– AAT Level 4 or equivalent required.
– Minimum two years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or Receivable.
– Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
– Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
